It is often asked what my relationship with my partner is about. It is a fantastic question, that helps me connect with you in your journey.

Q. Am I in a relationship?

A. Yes, I have been in a wonderful relationship for over past 8 years. In my willingness to Say Yes to Love again is such a magnificent gift to be to teach other ladies how to be in their ideal relationship too. Pure joy to be reminded of why I meet Merv and how I meet him.

Q. How did I meet Merv?

A. I moved from Perth to Sydney  – the pull to be here was very strong and start new beginnings. I am glad I trusted my gut instincts.

Through a work colleague it was suggested I contact a gentleman called Garry who was running regular expos. This appealed to me as there would be travel involved being part of the circuit.

I remember at the time feeling excited. When I did rang Gary he said he already had enough people on board to help him with the expo. I was relaxed about it. Though he was insistent that I still come on the week-end so we could meet. That day my life changed. There at the expo was Garry’s assistant, Merv. I was instantly “hit” with so much love.  It was so surreal and nothing I have ever experienced before. That was over 8 glorious years ago I meet Merv. Our relationship after all this time still feels, new, alive and fresh. Every time I go back to that moment it takes my breath away. It’s always filled with gratitude when I look at back at all the people that were instrumental in connecting Merv and I.

Say Yes to Love Tip:  Know you are always in the right place at the right time, trust that feeling.

Q. How did I know?

A. My heart knew it. There was a confirming belief that this was “it”. The searching was over.

When you know you “just know”. When you do  experience this deep knowing there is no room for doubt.

Every bit of waiting and longing dissolved in that minute.

Say Yes to Love Tip: Doubting the process or “trying” to force it to happen faster actually slows everything down. My past neediness and desperation actually pushed it from coming. Staying calm, relaxed and neutral is the secret.

Q: Did I do anything “special” to attract him?

A: I had recently attended the MindBodySpirit Festival at Darling Harbour in Sydney and booked into a “soul mate” seminar.

Three things that stood out to me.

  1. To do a list of emotional values and physical qualities that you would like in a man
  2. Be hugely specific of what you want and what you don’t want
  3. The next was be determined to receive what I was asking for and to embody that feeling

The presenter leaned over my shoulder, read my list and said do you want to go out with God? His energy implied I was asking too much! I was not going to feel embarrassed about this or feel bad about asking for I wanted. After three relationship disasters I was determined to turn this around.

Every time I have shared this with I others they say it’s the “god” in Merv and the “goddess” in you. I really like that. It has that warm feeling of love and content.

I was fascinated by these steps and knew that when I was buying property I wrote my list and got everything I requested.

So I got to work and had heaps of fun expanding my list and developing into it. It’s the inner qualities and the emotional values that are most important. Please click here on this worksheet which will expand on your requirements.

This Say Yes to Love checklist is a guide and offers you a benchmark of how far you have progressed.  Where the possible gaps are for your growth and development and how I can help you.
